Use cases

Instagram Hashtag Scraper use cases.

Campaign and branded-tag monitoring

Poll branded and campaign hashtags on a schedule, store each shortcode once, and route new posts into review or response workflows.

Creator discovery from active content

A hashtag feed surfaces accounts publishing in a niche now. Enrich the handles with the Profile API only after their posts pass your relevance filter.

Comment-level social listening

Take the posts returned for a tag and pass their URLs to the Comments API to analyse the conversation beneath the content.

FAQ

Instagram Hashtag Scraper FAQ.

Does this return posts or only hashtag metadata?

It returns a paginated set of public posts for the submitted hashtag. The Hashtag endpoint is the current content-discovery contract; there is no separate Hashtag Posts endpoint.

Can I retrieve every post ever published with a tag?

No API can guarantee a complete historical archive from Instagram's public hashtag surface. Paginate what Instagram currently exposes and store results over time if you need history.

Can I search hashtags by keyword?

No. This endpoint takes an exact tag. The User Search API searches accounts, not hashtag suggestions.
